Description

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is an extremely experimental battle simulator dedicated to awkward, funny and completely unpredictable battles unfolding between individual factions and characters.

The key goal – using limited resources and insufficient investment from the virtual government – to defeat everyone who gets in the way. And recruited allies who do not have serious intelligence, but who rush into battle without fear and pain, will help with the task!

Features

  • The war in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is large-scale – the developers offer to organize fights within the “Sandbox” or in the world of “Plot” for free, when there is no time to get bored;
  • The local physics is indescribable – the selected units slip and stumble, fall on their own spears, shoot at allies and lose their weapons out of the blue, lashing out at enemies with their bare hands;
  • Local artificial intelligence constantly adapts to the actions of virtual strategists and each time chooses new tactics, forcing more experimentation and less resorting to previously used actions;
  • In addition to standard battles, the developers in the game Totally Accurate Battle Simulator depict sieges with ballistas, and large-scale forays into foreign lands with the destruction of scenery;
  • You will have to observe the events around you mainly through the prism of a free camera, which allows you to fly around the map and look at allies and enemies;
  • And defeat in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator cannot be assessed as something irreparable – after each battle, you just want to return to the ranks, and offer your friends to download the full version of the game.

Versions, access and criticism

The developers from Landfall still offer to play Totally Accurate Battle Simulator exclusively on the scale of the Alpha-version presented in the “Early Access”. The “strategic” starter kit assumes a set of 10 factions, periodically renamed and changing, an extensive, albeit short storyline, and a “Sandbox” mode that allows you to experiment with the local combat system and a strange engine that turns even serious battles into clownery. A separate place is provided for custom modifications that are downloaded from a special store in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator on PC and significantly change the way you interact with the world.

The strategy is distributed according to the model providing for a one-time payment of 360 rubles, without additional subscriptions, advertising or additional purchased functionality. As an additional plus – the average system requirements, allowing even on an i5-2400 and a GTX 670-level video card to freely command troops in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator and grow into a reputation as an invincible commander.

Units and Factions in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator

The concept of representing the world and humanity through the prism of historical and cultural events that have occurred on Earth over millions of years is not new, but the developers from Landfall have played the situation many times more ambitious and curious than competitors. On the screen, you can easily see both the primitive inhabitants of the wild wastelands, armed with spears and sticks, and the Vikings hiding behind shields and surrounded by red beards.

The developers did not forget about pirates, Asian dynasties and representatives of the Renaissance, attacking with palettes and brushes. The humor in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is visible to the naked eye, which is why even learning to deal is fun, and when it comes to fights, laughter will already become part of the process, and non-standard ideas “just for fun” will start to appear in my head.

In addition to factions and classic units that determine the era and time, the developers have also introduced a series of “secret characters” in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, which drop out of the standard lists and open after searching for a certain type of equipment on the map during fights (on the Renaissance map, you should look for air the ball, which will open specially the “Paratrooper”, and the “Vikings” will open the “Shooter”).

There are a little more than 10-15 similar “experiments on soldiers”, and some are still added by the authors for testing (the developers also hint at a quick connection with legends and Greek myths). But, despite the non-standard appearance and amazing abilities, secret characters in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator will not become a pass to the champion’s podium, but will only help add new tactics to an already boring world.

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator Walkthrough

Events in the strategy unfold in the way that is chosen depending on the mode (“Sandbox” or “Story” with tests of increasing difficulty) and the desired results. If it is important to experiment and look at how the characters act on the map, no one bothers to recruit archers into the squad and start a firefight. But, if you wanted to overcome even protracted battles in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, you will have to correctly approach the choice of units, and then observe the results.

Essentially, the events are divided into two parts: first, the procurement phase. It is important to choose a faction, and then – for the amount issued (from 500 coins to 10 thousand or more, depending on the scale of the decoration, the complexity and status of the confrontations), purchase soldiers, archers or catapults with ballistae.

Additionally, an option is provided with the deployment of troops and the type of action – whether the soldiers will have to immediately move into battle or vice versa – to wait for the right moment. After a short preparation, the events are transferred to a randomly organized platform, where a mess of characters, blows and falls begins. And watching the process from the outside is sometimes both fun and sad.
