Death Race is a spectacular, large-scale and uncompromising arcade game based on the ideas and concepts of the Hollywood blockbuster Death Race and centered around intense races across abandoned military bases and the scenery of a post-apocalyptic world.

In addition to military racing fights, the developers from Genera Games have not forgotten about the storytelling – as in the original film, the lion’s share of the gameplay is devoted to the struggle for the highest positions in the rating (the Death Race – Killer Cars show is broadcast for hours on virtual channels of the unknown world) and for freedom, because the protagonist is a prisoner forced to shed blood for a reduction in prison term.

• Dynamic trips with explosions, gunfights and overturning cars are remembered already at the start, and after that it is impossible to break away from the passage – only ideas related to new victories are in my head;

• Characters, although they have little influence on the narrative and often appear only for the sake of a couple of new words, still complement the overall picture and enliven the local scenery, and the desire to understand the vicissitudes of other people’s destinies appears closer to the finale and continues to hold on to the screens;
• There are no standard online modes in Death Race with multiplayer fights, but the global leaderboard will still force you to show your skills;
• Spectacular graphics envelop with fear for the chosen car, and adrenaline due to falling off parts, exploding tanks and screaming fans. The atmosphere of the deadly racing is perfected and does not get boring even 10 hours later.

Versions, access and criticism

Death Race car battles unfold exclusively on mobile operating systems – Android and iOS. There are no separate versions for Windows or MacOS, the developers from Genera Games did not even consider computers as a platform for long races with shooting. And in vain – on the PC, an alternative version of Death Race would not hurt (alternative versions of the arcade have already appeared, but in a style far from the film). And, if the official release is not expected, you will have to bypass the limitation manually – using the Nox App Player emulator, which can adapt the Death Race game on the PC.

The arcade game is distributed according to the Free-To-Play model with full access to the plot and additional tests, but with upgrades and cars purchased for real money. With enough investment, it will be much easier to win in Death Racing. It is a pity that at the same time the level of dynamics will change – weak-willed opponents will cease to do any harm.

In terms of reviews, the shooter game Death Race is far from perfect – critical errors of a technical nature (crashes, problems with authorization) and strange graphical solutions turn the mobile blockbuster into an unpretentious entertainment for 5-7 evenings, after which it is already I don’t feel like it at all.

Death Race races take place mainly in the vicinity of a prison building with expressionless gray skyscrapers, warehouses and patrolled areas, where guards or trucks with supplies occasionally appear. Each time, the participants of the “Fury Road” from the TV show will have to make their way through the prepared levels, shooting and trying to reach the finish line. Moreover, you cannot interact with the selected cars, choose new paths or turn around corners – in Death Race, the lion’s share of the gameplay will have to look at the race from the side, occasionally clicking on the screen, or by releasing clips at the enemy, aiming from machine guns or rocket launchers. Despite the strange presentation, the arcade is mesmerizing – the scenery is too strong, the atmosphere and shootings are reminiscent of a Hollywood action movie.

The game Death Race also benefits from a complex tuning system that allows you to turn a boring and rusted passenger car, issued at the start, into a deadly colossus equipped with the latest technology. New wheels, additional supplies, impenetrable armor – downloading the game Death Race is worth at least because of all kinds of experiments related to the automotive industry. It’s a pity that the developers still haven’t abandoned the idea with fuel. After 5-10 arrivals, you have to wait 2-3 hours until the resource is replenished. As a result, you can’t revel in races for more than half an hour a day.
