Rocket League is a fast-paced and highly experimental arcade racing game that mixes RC cars with rocket engines, football and aggressive gameplay, dedicated to an uncompromising fight for championship titles.

In addition to the non-standard presentation and curious concepts, the developers took care of the style (the stadiums are futuristic and remembered at first sight) and the content: you will have to compete in dozens of modes, driving completely non-standard modes of transport.

• Mechanics. The tasks, as in standard football (and third-party disciplines), are quite obvious – to bring the ball into someone else’s goal and prevent return goals from the opponent. The rules are immediately explained and after that they do not change even a hundred hours later. But the method of dribbling the ball and interacting with allies for a specified period of time will change beyond recognition. Standard ground chases will be replaced by jet-powered take-offs and mid-air strikes. And problems with the camera will be replaced by flying upside down and accurate passes across half the field. Even goalkeepers will become many times more dangerous – they will learn to hit the insidious balls and keep the score on the scoreboard.
• Items in the Rocket League. Items in the Rocket League drop when you reach a certain level and after accumulating a sufficient amount of experience. Moreover, the more time is spent, the higher the chances of finding rare or imported and exotic awards. And it’s not about cars – they are bought separately, in the form of DLC, but about cosmetic items: wheels, hats, nitro decoration or even a goal celebration.
• Seasons. It is impossible to stay at the peak of popularity in Rocket League for years – the ratings are reset every two months, forcing again – together, three, over the network or in splendid isolation, again move to the top of glory.

Rocket League Modes & Matches

Rocket League players almost immediately face classic football confrontations that unfold in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4 formats. Teams for participation are recruited in different ways: if you want, no one bothers to invite friends or wait until a local matchmaking system identifies peer-to-peer rookies, pros, or grandmasters.

But football in the Rocket League is far from the only entertainment: the developers have long implemented hockey and basketball, carefully depicting the movement of the puck and a new, slightly more elastic and heavy ball, took care of the appearance of competitions from the Rumble series, where abilities are randomly selected with the help of which it is important to score goal, and Dropshot.

At the same time, support for rating matches opened – it will take a long time to move up the career ladder – at the start, rivalry will be needed to increase personal skill, develop a sense of speed and skills associated with dribbling in the air. As the rating grows, you will have to move on and face savvy opponents, with accounts that have reached 500 and even 1000 hours in the Rocket League. But the sweeter the victory and the more intense the confrontation.

A separate chapter in the life of a racing arcade is occupied by the curious “Training” mode, where the skills of defense, attack and interaction with allies are tested in a certain way and for a while, and the “Modifications” section, where everyone can download new maps, modes, cars and even balls. If you really wanted to experiment finally, then there was no better way.

Rocket League Settings

Rocket League offers limitless creativity: using the options panel, you can easily change the font of the main menu, the volume of the music and graphics detail, the translation language and the sensitivity of the mouse and gamepads. But the most important thing is the position and angle of the camera.

Every virtual soccer player hiding behind the wheel of a custom car is simply obliged to test Rocket League Cars in the form that is necessary to achieve victories. It is worthwhile to zoom out and zoom in on the camera, decrease or increase the rotation time, and invert or leave the control in a non-standard position of the car. Any little thing is important, which means it’s time to experiment!

Developers allow to buy Rocket League on computers with Windows and MacOS, download on consoles from Microsoft and Sony, and Nintendo.
